al-Sadr's going to end up being the Al Sharpton of Iraq - irrelevant to the government, but his personal style and rhetoric will get him in front of the cameras out of all proportion to his importance. ;)

I hope Chalabi was able to add a special ingredient into Al-Sadr's orange juice.... like bacon grease, or a cyanide derivative.

The people listen to him, that's what worries me.

He's the one that told the Iraqis to paint American & Israeli flags at the entrances to mosques so people would walk over them...

Iraqi boys walk past guards into a mosque in the southern city of Basra. Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr urged Muslims to paint US and Israeli flags at mosque entrances for worshippers to walk on in protest at the alleged desecration of the Koran at the US detention camp in Guantanamo.(AFP/Essam al-Sudani)

Iraqis walk over U.S. and Israeli flags, to heed a call by Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr to paint Israeli and American flags on the ground in front of mosques so people step on them in protest at raids against holy places and the previously alleged desecration of a Koran in Guantanamo Bay, in the Sadr City area of Baghdad Friday, May 20, 2005. Writing in English by U.S. flag reads ' No No No USA'. (AP Photo/Karim Kadim)

al-Sadr is a murderer of coalition troops and a sadistic torturer and murderer of Iraqi civilians.

Chalabi gives every appearance of being a man whose heart's desire is to become very, very rich and very, very powerful.

Where are the armed Predator drones?

And it appears they've wishfully wiped out 38 states based on the number of stars they populated Old Glory with.

There seems to be a tremendous amount of symbolism going on in that region. Kidnapping & photographing dolls, burning flags, faces on signs with the 'Ghostbuster' symbol superimposed over them, beating things with sandals. All sorts of 'feel good' activities.

Haiti - heads up! - here's a market for you - export voodoo dolls, I'd bet they'd be a really hot seller over there.

Unfortunately, Rumsfeld and company once thought quite highly of him, especially regarding his "inside informaiton" on WMD's. What were they thinking? Any port in a storm I guess.
