Let's get this straight. John McCain sucks.
John McCain takes good care of John McCain. His loyalty to anything ends there.
McCain will never get my vote with or without Jeb Bush.
Why would I be fool enough to elect a president sure to stab me in the back when I most need someone to stand up for my views?
I predict he will join with Hillary as Vice-President for the Democrats.
On one level it's all contrived, but the "producers" and the rest of the "behind the scenes" crew are deadly serious about maintaining their control and elite status. Why else would they continue to stage these elaborate ruses?
Will Americans be safe if Hillary has the football codes? Will there even be a football if President Hillary?
I do not believe McCain is as bad as Hillary. I have zero tolerance for the guy and believe he would sell every one of us out for personal gain. I do not believe, however, that he is evil. Just selfish. And a crazy nutbag moron.
I believe it is an olympic "sport" like synchronized swimming.

Not so sure that is true, many liberal friends, relatives and coworkers I know hate Hillary too. Go check out DU, even many dummies are opposed to Hillary. I also know many who voted Gore in 2000 but would have voted McCain if he had been the repub nomination.
By the time I got around to listening to the tape, it had self destructed...just go figure :~)

Granted, Demwits are not known for making the most intelligent choices, but I don't think they'll actually give Hill-da-beast the nomination.
Right now it's great speculation and fun for them to fantasize, but I don't think they can put her up there on a hope and a prayer (as if they ever would) that her baggage doesn't come back to bite them. I think their view is that it will just be too much at stake to take that much of a risk.
Personally, as long as we have a solid Conservative to put up, I hope they do give the beast the nomination. I look forward to seeing the klintoon name being dragged through the mud, slime and gutter all over again. Nothing would make me happier than leaving the klintoon name in shambles as they are kicked out of D.C. for good.

The conventional wisdom among Republicans is that Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee in 2008. And the conventional wisdom among political handicappers is that you need a star to compete with a star, which has floated the names of Arizona Sen. John McCain and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to the top of the Republican list.
Rove won't discuss 2008 presidential aspirants. But he does make an interesting observation about the trend in presidential nominating politics.
He thinks 2008 might depart from what he describes as the '80s and '90s model, in which candidates parlay national standing and status into the nomination. Reagan, Bush I and Dole were all national political figures when they began their quest for the nomination.
Instead, Rove thinks there may be a reversion back to what he describes as the '60s model, in which candidates earn support by grassroots, retail politicking.
If so, the candidates who will ultimately have the inside track aren't necessarily those on the talk shows, but those making connections with party and conservative-cause activists.
In other words, those tending to the same political gardens Rove cultivated to beat the Democrats at the turnout game.

If the Republican Party presents the voters with another Bob Dole ticket in the form of McCain & Jeb Bush, rest assured many conservatives will be sitting out the 2008 election.
Rush just said that his office has spoken to the office of Frist - and THERE IS NO RATIFICATION OF THE "DEAL" - SO IT'S NOT SET IN CEMENT. And .. there is a way to test the deal .. and if any of the 14 go against it - then the DEAL is OFF - and the nuclear option is still on. Reid alluded to it earlier on the Senate floor - whining about the continued threat of pulling the trigger.
So .. my vote is still out. I'm glad to see 3 GREAT judges will be confirmed .. but from there I'm not happy.
Terri is dead and you've all gone back to sleep. I had severe insomnia for over a month, so distraught was I at her murder. So I wasn't sleeping. I will never forget what a weenie he was. And Bush. And the Congress. All helpless to prevent the death of one innocent woman. And Michael Schiavo gets away with murder. Nice!
That sounds wonderful to me. I need a ticket with the names of Allen, Rice, Cheney, Jeb Bush (?), or any that I know will not stab me and this country in the back when they get the much desired "POWER".
And that leaves off the names of McCain, Frist and any Rhino.
