LOUISBURG, N.C. -- Relatives say a North Carolina man who was hit by a car and mistakenly declared dead has started talking again.
Larry Green was hit by a car in January as he walked home after buying beer at a grocery store. He was examined on the scene by paramedics and a medical examiner, declared dead and his body taken to a morgue.
More than two hours after the accident, the same medical examiner realized Green was still alive. He was hospitalized for two months after suffering a severe head injury, broken leg and other injuries.
He's been in a rehabilitation center for the last three months.
His father, Larry Alston, says Green has recently started forming words. Alston says his son isn't saying much, but it's music to his loved ones' ears.
What's that you're trying to say...your name is Tom Daschle?
This man was declared legally dead. The law must be upheld at all costs!
(steely)
"Er-uh"
Give the man a beer for Pete's sakes! He deserves the whole dang sixpack!
I think working in a morgue where someone wakes up would be unforgettable as well.
To my surprise he said, well just last week we had one. "I phoned the ambulance and they took him to the hospital. He lived a couple of days and then died for good".
"hold muh beer while I pronounce this guy dead"...
"I can't take 'em. 'Ees not dead yet."
"Sure you can. I'll just load 'em up 'ere."
"I'm not dead yet!"
"Well you will be soon, won't you?"
Agreed.
I wonder if he had any 'near death' experiences.
Who can believe a dead man-you know how cadavers lie. Why lying is all they ever do, lie, lie lie-they just lie there.
This guy must be Zarqawi. I mean who else keeps coming back to life every time he is killed/captured ?
Maybe someone should check on Generalissimo Francisco Franco, just to make sure.
They sure do! ;>
