It's long past the time to FLUSH the RINOs from the Congress!

The CHAIN must be pulled on the ballot box in the next election.

Obviously the Republicans do not understand the meaning of being a MAJORITY, so they must be restored into the minority where they are most comfortable (and out of office).

You're right of course. Recess appointments are only as long as the current congress, which ends in 2006, next year. I'm amazed how uninformed some of our freepers are. Actually, this is a win for the Republicans, because they get the three judges confirmed, which the Democrats liked least. That is a win for the good guys. Secondly, Frist did not give up the nuclear option, if the Dems become unreasonable again. These seven Republican Senators will be receiving a ton of protests from their constituents, especially McCain, and he will have to prove in the future that he's a conservative, if he ever wants to run for President. The President still has about 45 judicial vacancies to fill, so if the Dems prove obstinate, the nuclear option is still available.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for Republicans to befriend, act like, and give in to, Democrats.

If Republican'ts will not stand up to the domestic Democrat, why should we expect them to stand up to the foreign terrorist?

I'm not going to vote Democrat in 2006.
That's my solution

Then I trust that you won't be surprised, when you get more of the same treachery?

We're going to start talking about who would be a good judge and who wouldn't," said negotiator Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.). "And the White House is going to get more involved and they are going to listen to us more.

Hey there Lindsey, talk to the hand. Selecting judges is an *Executive power*. You didn't think your job was important enough to do, so you wanna do someone else's job? You don't have the votes to win a national election dimwit & Byrd pulled another one over on you.

As opposed to what if you vote for a Democrat?

This guy is one of my biggest disappointments. Notice how he intends to dictate to the President, that is my job.

The Democrats were about to get smacked down. This allows them to back down while looking like they got something. It allows everyone to back down from posturing and get on with business.

Come to think of it, isn't Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine on the list of places the Pentagon was going to close down?

Gee, I wonder how successful Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe will be in saving those jobs in Portsmouth now?

Great post.

NOT ONE PENNY!!!

I'm angry enough to pledge money to real conservatives who will run against these RINO's and replace them. How about $100.00 a head?

I encourage everyone to attack!

If this deal does through, then I will vote Democrat in 2006. At least I'll know what I'm voting for! Clearly, I've been mistaken as of late.

That makes sense to me. You are going to vote for the Democrats because a few Republicans are acting like Democrats. Check, please.

"Checks and balances have been protected. The integrity of the Supreme Court has been protected from the undue influence of the vocal, radical right wing," Reid said.

Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who had threatened to bog down Senate business if Republicans took away the filibuster authority, was more receptive, saying the Senate could now get back to work on the needs of the nation. He said he was willing to work with Bush on his agenda, "but he should have a little more humility."

"In light of the spirit and continuing commitments made in this agreement," Republicans said they would oppose any attempt to make changes in the application of filibuster rules. But Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, said the agreement was conditional on Democrats upholding their end of the deal.

Dr. James C. Dobson, head of the Focus on the Family, one of the conservative groups that had made an end to judicial filibusters a top priority, said the agreement "represents a complete bailout and a betrayal by a cabal of Republicans and a great victory for united Democrats."

After thanking McCain on the Capitol steps for the "wonderful" deal, Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., described the agreement as a "big victory" for Democrats.

Democratic officials familiar with the negotiations said an unwritten aspect of the pact is that two nominees not named in the deal - Brett Kavanaugh and William J. Haynes - would not be confirmed and would be turned aside either at the committee level or on the floor.

On Monday, before the compromise, Democrats assailed Republicans for what they described as a naked power grab in violation of the rules and traditions of the Senate. "I implore senators to step back, step back, step back, step back from the precipice," Byrd said as he delivered a lecture on Senate history, reminding Republicans pointedly of one aspect of that history. "Don't forget that the worm turns."

The RINO's and Pubs have no reason to be surprised if their scrotums get sliced off and handed to them on a plate by the Democrats.

I think John McCain thinks he WILL get the nod in 08. This egomaniac is in for a wake up call. Once he realizes that we want nothing to do with his sorry ass, he will try and undermine our party again by going third party.

Well, you're right about McCain being an out of touch egomaniac, but I seriously doubt he'll try going third party. If he did, he'd peel off more dems and he'd hurt them more than the GOP cause now he's the poster boy for a GOP Turncoat.

We're right back where we started but with 7 nimrods who don't realize they've been sold a defective product.

They know what they are doing.

They aren't nimrods, just traitors to the conservative philosophy! I have not been registered as a Republican since the first Bush budget!

"Look, you guys. There are actually conservatives, who think you're different, from us socialists... ha, ha, fooled them, didn't we? Now, we can deal with El Presidente' Fox and maybe even let a few more criminals and terrorists into the country!?"
