I mailed my change of registration in this morning. Welcome to the growing ranks of the unaffiliated.

This is a sad day for the Republican party, and the conservative movement in this country! The Dems will likely gain in Congress in 2006 because of this kind of cowardice. What's the matter with you folks in Arizona????? Is McCain the best you can do??

It sounds as though all ten will get a vote from the entire senate. I'm glad however, that both of the men I contributed to last cycle (Burr and Coburn) had nothing to do with this...

No need to leave the GOP. Just keep sending the money to better candidates.

I'm done with the feckless Republicans as well. They had the options of (a) everything to win or (b) everything to lose. Of course, they chose the latter. I wonder which nominees they will throw under the bus tires? Moreover, haven't these idiots learned that, to a Democrat, "extraordinary circumstances" is defined as "anyone who isn't a Democrat?"

I believe now, more than ever, that this country has only one party. The Repubocrats, hypocrites, elitists and cowards all, are firmly in charge. From here on out it is every man for themself.

You're not alone. My GOP membership has been hanging by a thread that just snapped. Those Senators obviously think they are above the Constitution and that it's their perogative to negotiate it away. I gave them a second chance after the campaign finance bill took away my 1st amendments rights for political speech. They obviously can't be trusted to honor their oath of office. "Cowards" is too kind a word.

stupid move. We need to band together and punt these people. Don't go wasting your vote on a 3rd party nightmare. Remember that little puke from Texas that helped us get 8 years of slick willie?

The GOP is in better shape now than ever, we just need some fine tuning. A good start will be the 7 RINO's that cause all the trouble.

Have you ever contributed to an opponent of the dirty 7 directly? Time has come to bypass the RNC and put your money in direct competition with the evil doers. That's how Daschle fell.

Don't go whimpering away, stand up and fight like a man.

I think I would at least wait to see what happens to the traitors to the Constitution. If they get a hand slap from the party leadership, or less, then yes, by all means leave. But if there is a significant price paid by those Senators, then one can hardly blame the party as a whole.

My prediction. A slap on the wrist for the Republican "moderates". Promotion and perks for the Democratic moderates, who likely were working with the full knowledge and permission of their party leaders.

I wanted to puke when Sheets Byrd got so many accolades by the plotters, but I was in my car and couldn't pull over to void. So I cussed at the radio instead.

I guess that dem speaker that predicted a coup was correct. But it was a Democrat coup, made possible by the Benedict Arnolds of the Republican party.

Don't lose sight of the fact that it was 7 RINOS that left the GOP. Don't punish the faithful. Dig your heels in and help elect true conservatives next election.
