Under the agreement, Democrats would pledge not to filibuster any of Bushs future appeals court or Supreme Court nominees except in extraordinary circumstances.

{extraordinary circumstances.}
The RATS consider extraordinary cirmcumstances the same way as abortion doctors consider health reasons for abortions.

I cant just hear it now.
"If this isnt extraordinary I dont know what is.."
Anyone wanna bet that the dems will use that as an excuse? I bet they'll do the deed before the year is out and before 6 nominees are sent up.

Under the agreement, Democrats would pledge not to filibuster any of Bushs future appeals court or Supreme Court nominees except in extraordinary circumstances. By Democrat definition any Bush Supreme Court nominee will be an "extraordinary circumstance."

This won't be a popular position here, but a compromise that is hated by both the folks here AND at Dem Underground may well be a reasonable one. The DU folks are not happy if ANY Bush nominees go through and many here are not happy unless the Dems are crushed completely. Assuming (yes I know what they say about assuming) the optimal position is somewhere in the middle, maybe this is for the best.
