No, 'fraid not. While the RATs will repudiate any deal in a heartbeat, the RINO's will stick to their word when the RATs wave the little piece of paper in their faces. The strength of a chain is that of its weakest link and we have six very weak links.

I think you're right, but again, I'll wait and see the votes. Personally, I think after a week or two the Dems are going to slink away on these judge issues and shut the hell up so that we all forget it, cause they are getting killed on this.

"stupid move. We need to band together and punt these people. Don't go wasting your vote on a 3rd party nightmare. Remember that little puke from Texas that helped us get 8 years of slick willie?"
What is the difference?
As long a the GOP continues to give money and support to these New England GOPers and McCain, your party sucks.
Mine is the Constitution Party. At least I will be able to sleep at night knowing my money is spent on pro-life causes.
I am cmpletely done with the GOP.
I still support the president and conservatives within your party, but they are far apart and few in between.

Actually you should re-register as a Republican and vote for the opponents of these rogue RINO Senators in the next primary. They must be voted out of office.
Can we RECALL Senators? Some recall efforts would be nice.

We need to have all loyal republican Senators vote against Cloture tomorrow...This will force the issue even if it is underhanded. That way the Dems will never have the opportunity to filibuster a SC nominee

"What's the matter with you folks in Arizona????? Is McCain the best you can do??"I'm in Arizona and McCain is my Senator. I CAN'T STAND HIM, but he's like royalty here. ALL the dems and Rino's vote for him. The media won't lay a glove on him. He's untouchable even when us staunch conservatives haven't voted for him in two elections.
To: Meldrim
With the exception of Graham, it's not the newbloods that are doing this. It's the old dinosaurs like Warner or the libs from New England like Snowe and Collins. Unfotunately, they rarely get into competitive races, which means we can't pull the rug out from under them like we would.

The judges who didn't make it were to the 6 and 9 districts. The DemonRats want to continue their control of those courts so they can continue to stop any laws they do not like.

No, fraid not.
1) We already got the TANGIBLE result (a judge, and probably all of them).
2) People, especially elected representatives, forget promises faster than they forget the lines to a Shakespeare play. And they can always "beg off" due to their "constituents.
Watch what happens to the votes. That's all that counts.
Too many people here want a testosterone bath rather than an actual victory.

LS, I will no longer make excuses for the Frist and his Demo..er Republicans. This deal gives us nothing. Since we gave them the store on filibusters, what will the MINORITY dems force us to do next..? This is just shameful..

Although I'm not all that jolly about it....I will second your post.
It's the only way...for now. We have 1992..as a glaring example of what a third party can/will do. It gave us Bill Clinton, and ultimately launched Hillary Clinton into the Senate. If we fracture off into a large third party now...Hillary WILL be elected POTUS.
We cannot let that happen.
