Agree. I'm now calmed down, and I wish others on this thread would take a cold shower. This is our legislative branch in action....The Dems retreat, only to fight another day. In the meantime, we take territory (3 nominees approved). Nothing is set in stone. The Dems may bring up the filibuster again at some future time, but we have the option to drop the bomb on them. It isn't a total victory, but this is nowhere near the defeat some people here are characterizing it as.

Wrong, the relevant RINO's have swron not to change the rules in the 109th Congress whcih effectively means that any SCOTUS nominations by President BUsh, with King John's approval of course, are subject to fillibuster. And you can dang well count on just that.
