NOTHING has changed,

Not quite true

3 judges will likely be confirmed; 1-2 judges will likely be voted down (with RINO traitors joining Democrats), and we have an iron clad promise that the 7 Democrats will not filibuster new judicial nominees except in the most extraordinary circumstances as interpreted by those 7 Democrats (ie., if President Bush consults with them he can get a nominee through the 109th Congress).

Consulting doesn't mean they approve his picks... it just means they have some input. Reagan used to "consult." He'd pick a few that he'd like, then would ask the Rat which of the 3 he thought would be a good choice. Picking Ben Nelson's conservative golfing buddy isn't a hard thing to do.

Extraordinary circumstances = pro life; pro gun ownership

extreme = a trail (however short) of conservative judicial opinions;

Acceptable attributes: pro abortion; gay rights and anti 2nd Amendment.

If two lose, Bush should send up Bork & Pryor in their place. Just keep on doing it until everyone gets the message. Tell Congress "you either vote them up or down, or I start making more recess appointments than you can count."

The handling of Saad and Myers will tell quite a bit. Will the Senate provide unanimous consent to take the vote? The gang of 14 controls at most itself.
