"Frist didn't even get the common courtesy of a reach-around."
Yep. Lucky Pierre does it again.

It's up to the leader to control his caucus and the agenda. He has failed.

De Wine is one of them.
He's up in 2006, and his son is running for a House District out of Cinci.

If the Republicans have caved, I'm about to use MY nuclear option. NO support, NO money, NO nothing DITTO. I'm tired of the Republican "Majority" acting like a cowering minority. Do you think the Democrats, in the same situation, would have compromised? Right. We'll see.
To: clintonh8r
This was a done deal on day # 1 when they did not vote to change the rules. The Republican party gets exactly what they want (not what WE want) which is more liberals on the S.C. Bye-bye Republican party (and bye-bye to those chairmanships you have - enjoy them until the '06 elections because after that you're in for a long haul as butt boys for the Democrats where you undoubtedly will feel much more at home.)

These 12 can override anything Frist can do. I'm worried because McCain is behind all this. I don't trust him.

It's really getting difficult to believe the GOP are anything but wimps, hope I'm wrong but this is getting sickening. They got the bat and the ball but their still playing the catcher.

has to be more than five, Dems needed 51 votes because if they only had 50 Cheney would break the tie.
They are saying now that McCain and Nelson who have been leading this effort.
Here's McCain now.

Could this happen without the White House signing off on it?Definitely.
In fact, if the White House WAS involved, there would be no deal, because the Dems would know they could hold out for more.
