I agree.

What's the point of voting for Republicans when they won't stand up for a Republican president?

This is the lamest "compromise" I've seen in a while.

Dear RNC, you've got some work to do if you want me to care, much less vote, much less contribute in 06.

bet Reid has 6 RINOs to vote "nay" on Owens and Brown.

There's a good chance you're right.

They only agreed to let these three have an up and down floor vote.

It doesn't mean that any of the three get approved.

They have to get 51 floor votes.

There's a good chance that the Dem's and Rhino's have agreed to vote to end debate (filibuster) and then switch their floor vote from one or more of the three and say it is tradition to vote their conscious.

I don't look for all of them to make it.

This is not a big deal.

I disagree. It's a huge deal. It is because it is symbolic. We backed down when we didn't need to.

We rolled over and exposed our throats to the 'Alpha' Democrat Dog.

I think it comes down to this: Frist had only 49 solid votes to go nuclear. He, and the rest of the causus, were at the mercy of a few Republicans who are both mentally and morally challenged. But Frist should now threaten the "moderates" with the loss of leadership positions on committees if the Dems bring forward the filibuster on any future nominees.

I just sent my county republican party chairman an email asking him tell me the protocol in resigning from the republican party.

From APnews:

Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., swiftly noted he had not been a party to the deal, which fell short of his stated goal of winning yes-or-no votes on each of Bush's nominees. "It has some good news and it has some disappointing news and it will require careful monitoring," he said

Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada seemed more receptive - although he hastened to say he remains opposed to some of the nominees who will now likely take seats on federal appeals courts.

"We have sent President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and the radical right of the Republican party an undeniable message ... the abuse of power will not be tolerated."

A win for our side? I don't think so.

Now we know definitely who they are (and I'm really disappointed in Lindsey Graham). I say these 7 need to be taken out in the primaries, because even if they are replaced by Democrats, frankly, we're no worse off.

..." floor and if filibustered the Dims can be made out to be liars because the 3 most arguably extreme judges have already been allowed through"....

1. These judges were not extremists

2. Since they have made no attempt to correct any of their lies thus far, do you really think they will care if they are called liars or not in the future?
This is deal was made with the devil... GOP..0 Rats..the game

I want each of these traitors to be interviewed by Rush to hear an explanation why the conservative base should feel this is a fair deal. Wanna bet how many times they avoid such an invitation?

I have been registered as a Republican since I first voted in 1984. I am seriously considering changing that. I'm so disgusted, I'm just beyond words.

This from the article linked by Drudge.

"The White House said the agreement was a positive development."

Are you serious? Please tell me what the point of voting Republican is if this is how they are going to handle being the majority party.

Time to start looking for another political home.
