That strange sound you hear is the RINO's balls being sucked back up into their abdomens.

If ALL the judges don't get a vote this is a DEFEAT!!

FNC is saying that the Dem won't to hold the choice of filibuster for when a USSC judge is picked

ANY compromise is a defeat for the GOP. A major defeat. The Rats will not abide by any deal. And any deal would almost certainly allow them to filibuster SCOTUS nominees, whatever the BS language about "extraordinary circumstances" might be.

I don't need to know what the "deal" is. It is bad, period, because any deal on this issue is bad.

This was completely predictable because there are so many weak pseudo-Republicans in the Senate who don't want to vote on this and don't give a rat's behind about the Republican base, or the future of our courts.

We lose, they win. It's the history of the Republican party.

I am so angry ... furious, livid, outraged. GAWD DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM these pukes. GAWD DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM them.

The ONLY hope is to burn up their phones lines NOW.
Make the bend-over "deal" unravel. Throw the "greatest deliberative body" into chaos.

That means the Rs are going to burn 4-5 of the 10 being blocked???!!!???? That is B.S.!! If the RINOs forced such a compromise they all need to be defeated in the next primary they face..... I know that's tough to do, especially when Bush and national Rs will support a Spectre, but there needs to be a shift in the party! (and I'm not even a R., just a life-long Independent who is sick to death of whiny wimpy pols who sell out our values and our country!).

Agreed. Even if he didn't have 50 votes for the nuke option, he should have called a vote, and we could have had the Quislings on record.

"They need to push thru all 10..."

Yep. It is an insult to the President (person and office) if it is anything otherwise. Every nominee out of committee gets a vote. Period. Man, I loathe the RINOS that let this cr*p go on...

Mr. Mabelkitty just said he will never vote again.
Been voting for Republicans since the 1970s.
Turned me into a Republican.
If he feels this strongly about it, we're screwed.

Ken, what happened? What is the "deal." There's still a guy on the Senate floor taling about this. Is there then a deal?

...can't even control his own caucus.

Frist is done. He's the one who kept this crap going until this precious deal was hatched.

Frist didn't even get the common courtesy of a reach-around.

This might just end my little hobby of getting involved in politics.

Especially when the loser Republicans can rule the entire party! McCain you lost, you creep!

Prediction: All smiles and backslapping tonight; Owen gets approved; Dems then filibuster the next nominee as an "extraordinary" situation; Republicans push the button.

That wouldn't be bad at all. I would hope that the would pick up where they left off rather than start over again with the debate. Fat chance though.

Nobody needs to apologize for Frist. If the man can't lead his Senate colleagues, RINOs or not, he can't lead my country. That's the way it is.

If there's a "deal" Frist would be IN ON IT, wouldn't HE?

My thinking is No .. not have all he has been saying

My guess is this is being done behind his back<> We shall see once the presser starts

Not a Dime.... You just read my mind! I didn't send more money than I could afford as a retired person to elect Thune, Martinez, Burr, etc., so that Republicans can cave to the minority.

Wait till I get the next call from the RNC. They have already gotten an earful from me lately, and now the words will fly.
