Today they'll chant "Death to the dictator, death to oppression"

Tomorrow they'll chant, "Death to America"

If we were to suddenly make Iran/Iraq/the middle east in general, excluding Israel, a large glass parking lot, I'd be all for it.

Iranians are very pro-American. You don't know what you're talking about.

You're way off base.

There are good people in every country who want to be free.

Change in Iran is inevitable. US support of freedom and democracy now in Iran can help shape the new country. This is not the 70s anymore, these students grew up in the theocratic tyranny of the mullahs. While watching their pro-west neighbors pass them by in terms of standard of living, opportunity, and freedom.

The 70s generation of Iranian terrorists are now the enemy in Iran, it's clear to most there that theocracy is just another form of oppression.

These kids never did anything against America, give them support for an honest chance to change their country. We'll help, and be watching.

They did in 1979, too.

Absent from muslim/arab lands is a true peoples' revolution, complete with arms and sufficient will to see it to the end.

Thus far in Iran, it keeps repeating like a university demonstration.

Insanity: Doing the same thing, over and over, expecting different results.

Guns + will to use them = something different

,,, a good friend of mine has a brother there at present, in Tehran. He said they're very friendly and hospitable people. He married one. There's anti-American sentiment in the middle east but not everywhere. What needs changing in Iran is the regime.

You don't recall Iran just after 911, do you?
There were thousands of young protesting Iranians waving home made US flags and chanting ' USA !' during a soccer game.
Sure, lets just nuke'em! ( extreme sarcasm)
