Attn DC Freepers: On the FRONT PAGE of today's business section, there is an article..."Big News Media Join in Push to Limit Use of Unidentified Sources" ( an excellent article, BTW..I did a search and it hasn't been posted as yet..can someone please do so?) there is a pic which I am positive is of the DC Freepers protesting a few days ago. I recognize the sign.."Newsweek Lied/ People Died"

I truly do love New York...but there are certainly things about it that I don't miss at all.

Like Charles Schumer?

Or the pigeons?

Awww, come on, brohamie. The pigeons aren't so bad. They're rather fun to watch sometimes, especially when they're trying to mate and the male pigeon puffs out his chest feathers and does that little pigeon-toed dance roundabout the female, and her eyes do a little lookback at him as she bends to eat some goshawful crud from the sidewalk. Romantic, isn't it?

Actually, I miss being able to buy a nice, spicy falafel with cucumbers in pita bread, or those delicious, roasted and sugared almonds, right off the street corner. I miss walking long blocks and short blocks on real sidewalks. I miss hopping a train to just about anywhere you want or grabbing a cab at 4AM. I also miss the backyards of Brooklyn with their clotheslines and the front stoops where neighbors congregate. I'm getting sentimental now...I miss my doorman, Mario, who lost our bet when it was the Pacers vs. the Knicks. LOL

I don't miss Schumer or that Clinton couple and I'm glad I'm not there for sissy Bloomberg's wacky laws.

Ahh, fond memories.

:)

Not of the Knicks-Pacers series, necessarily.

I like Reggie Miller-and am kind of sad to see him retire-but those two consecutive three-pointers at the end of the first playoff game really p-ed me off.

As for Bloomberg, I'm not particularly big on him either, which is probably why I thought he shouldn't have been the Republican nominee in the first place.

Joe Jackson actually had this great tune-which you can probably download on his website-about similarly draconian anti-smoking laws that they passed over in England two years ago.

You breed pigeons?

:7)

-good times, G.J.P. (Jr.)
