We have all seen "slo-mo" movies like the one from which the frame below was taken. (Actually made by cameras that take many thousands of frames per second -- and are then played back at "normal speed".)

To me, creation was like God pulling the trigger: BAM! -- the light bulb is gone.

To us, with our finite ability to absorb information, we are like viewing the movie: the bullet slowly approaches the bulb and passes through (while the bulb retains its spherical shape) -- and then slowly scatters in all directions.

The "BILLIONS of years" limitation is not God's -- it is ours.
