I took the Eurostar from Belgium to London and then took the train about an hour north of London to stay for a few days a couple years ago (1999). It was an eye opening trip.

At that time, in that place, there were still plenty of people that didn't have contempt for Americans. I read today about so many bad attitudes for Americans that it doesn't sound at all like the same England as back then.

I think things are changing faster there for the worse, but here in the US they are changing for the better. I think conservatism is growing more followers by the day, as people see that the left has no answers and shrinking influence (such as their media (newspaper/tv news wing) :).

Keep fighting the good fight FReepers and when you have a chance, and your enemy is drowning,...take a page from the James Carville playbook and throw that sunn-uva-b!tch an anchor.

There are still many good and decent British people. However, they are very much like Americans who care about freedom, and are seeing it slip away due to our leaders love of open borders and millions of illegals.

There have always be crazies in Britain, however with illegal immigration (particularly the Muslims) literally taking over the country, anti Americanism is running rampant, and will eventually be the downfall of the government and freedom, as it will here in America.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the UK stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the USA in our efforts in Iraq.

One of the few European nations to do so.

And, if I recall correctly, UK voters recently returned to power the same government that sided with the US in our efforts.
