You can bet the sound bite of Dean proclaiming bin Laden was NOT responsible for 9/11 will appear in quite a few campaign commercials in the months to come. Doesn't matter a wit whether he retracts or not. You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.
No one will ever convince me that Karl Rove didn't have a hand in getting this fool installed as DNC head.

Maybe you guys are right. I didn't see it so maybe I shouldn't say much, but I just can't imagine that he was actually going to make a statement like that about Osama when in the past he has basically endorsed capturing Osama (while criticizing everything about how the Bush administration is going about it).
I don't think the fact that he repeated it means that much. Why Russert didn't question him is more of a puzzle. The whole thing is very strange and hopefully we'll figure it out soon enough...and have a good laugh at Dean's idiocy.
