DR. DEAN: I said I wasn't sure, but I said I thought there probably were. But the thing that really bothered me the most, which the 9-11 Commission said also wasn't true, is the insinuation that the president continues to make to this day that Osama bin Laden had something to do with supporting terrorists that attacked the United States. That is false. The 9-11 Commission, chaired by a Republican, said it was false.

Okay, maybe there is
something to the rumor that Dr. Dean actually works for Mr. Rove. ;-)
Whatever causes these whacko pronunciations from Dr. Dean, I just hope that the Democrats keep him. He is invaluable.

From the transcript at MSDNC -
MR. RUSSERT: Well, you said there were weapons of mass destruction.
I'm sure he'll spin it as having misspoke and claim he was talking about Saddam. But don't forget that during the campaign, Dean speculated that George Bush, and not Osama bin Laden, was behind the 9/11 attacks. Of course, he phrased it as "floating a theory."
Naturally, Russert didn't press this point.

"That wasn't a mistake. Dean and most of the Democratic party believes that.
They think it was either the U.S. government or Israel who slammed those jet airliners into the Twin Towers."
OK, that I don't believe. I know plenty of Democrats, and they all believe it was Muslim Terrorists supported by bin Laden. Now on some level, like the US said when they caught bin Laden's #2 guy a few weeks ago, there are operational planners and strategists, etc., who may have had a lot more direct involvement that bin Laden. I don't know. But I've never heard a Democrat I've know, over the age to twenty-five, say that is wasn't Muslim terrorists.

A statement like this on a national broadcast interview demands a followup question.
If he had said "blacks aren't human" you KNOW the host would not let such a ridiculous and insulting statement go unquestioned (nor should the host).
Osama has taken credit. He's stuck in a 2pm 9-11-2001 frame of mind.

>>We should all pray this isn't true. Howard Dean is a great spokesman for the Republican party.<,
yes but this might be a setup to "allow" Saint Hillery to ride in on her broom and save the rat party from itself.

The 9/11/2001-9/13/2001 left wing hype machine (on sites like Micheal Moore and Lyndon LaRouche) claimed it was "clean cut Timothy McVeigh types" who hijacked the planes. Mr Moore was even asking people in the media who heard reports of non-arab hijackers to contact him.
They attempt to revise history to mask their tinfoil ideas.

He obviously mispoke. Let's not make a big deal out of this...There's misspeaking and there's misspeaking. During the '76 presidential debates Gerald Ford misspoke that the USSR did not dominate Poland, and then he proceeded to repeat the blather when asked to clarify. Gerald Ford and Howard Dean are a couple of arrogant twits that cannot imagine that they could possibly be mistaken.
To: West Coast Conservative
Dean is so delusional. Only good thing is the more he talks the lower the Rats chances of ever winning again goes.

Actually, they addressed Saddam specifically. And Dean's answer is way more telling about the hypocrisy of the Rats.
MR. RUSSERT: When did the president ever suggest that Saddam Hussein was responsible for September 11?
DR. DEAN: He didn't. His nuance--his people suggested that. He suggested that in a nuanced way in many of his speeches. He was asked once directly about it and said, "No, I don't have that evidence." But the truth is in every speech, including the ones during the campaign where he deliberately muddled the anti-terrorism war that we're engaged in with the war in Iraq. They are two separate efforts. Unfortunately, now because of the president's actions, I would argue that we're in greater danger now because of what's going on in Iraq than we were before. Now, there are terrorists in Iraq. They have migrated there since our troops were there.

"He obviously mispoke. Let's not make a big deal out of this besides to poke fun. He also misspoke about the log in eye etc... and I think called it something else. It doesn't matter. I'd rather work on substance then bash people for simple mistakes. More interestingly is his attempt to hide bernie sanders socialism in lexicon."
Second your statement.
To: West Coast Conservative
That was some pretty good questioning by Russert.

He can't be any worse for them than McCauliffe.
That guy lost it all for them and still walked around like he smelled like roses.
Bunch of pyschopaths.

A vote for a third party is a vote for a RAT.
No it isn't if enough voters do it. Anyway there is no way I can continue to support the Big Government, Big Spending, open borders GOP any longer.

Any man who would spend 8 or 10 years out of High School becoming a Doctor and then chuck it to become a Rat mouthpiece has a screw loose.
