I don't see how government could get any bigger, it is already stealing just about all the money I have so that can't get any worse. We are already living in a police state so that can get any worse. The only thing worse that can happen is to be over run by a foriegn country and Bush and the GOP seem to be in favor of letting just that happen so I do not think things could get worse with the GOP thrown out of power.

He basically wants to turn over Social Security to the same kind of people who gave us Enron. Privatization is something the America people don't support by a very large margin.

Liar. And "the American people" haven't been told the truth to where they know what they want. If DEMOCRATS would stop lying about it I think many more people would want TO CHOOSE whether or not they want privatization.

BTW, I wonder how much of Dean's investments are run by "the same kind of people who gave us Enron"?! In other words, is Dean saying he doesn't have any money in the stock market or a retirement fund?! You can bet he does.

He just doesn't want "the American people" to be ALLOWED TO CHOOSE where they want PART OF their Social Security invested (since DEMOCRATS were in charge when they SPENT THE SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND, they keep LYING ABOUT, on PORK BARREL PROJECTS TO GET THEM RE-ELECTED!).

Howie Dean sits in the chair formerly held by the "people who gave us Global Crossing".

After his rant during the primaries, I doubt if many people would have felt comfortable going to him for medical care. I also doubt that he had a very good practice anyway, people have no faith in a doctor who only listens to himself. You know he didn't just stop hearing what is said.

I could see a case being made for forcing Americans to save a bit of each paycheck for retirement. And I understand seeing to it that money is not put into high risk investments.

Letting the government hold that money until retirement is very risky. A bankrupt government is unable to pay back the money it borrows (including Social Security); if the government CANNOT touch it, there is no worry that they will (their word is not "bond"). Also, privatization means the issue is off the table come election season (they cannot boast to the voters every year, "see what I did for you, I raised your payments"). They cannot hold your retirement funds hostage for your vote. Has ANY politician ever gone before the voters to brag about the raise he gave himself in the wee hours?

Everyone knows Bernie Sanders is a Socialist. Sanders himself says it, it's in his book and he has never renounced it.
for Dean to try and convince people that Sanders isn't a Socialist is a LIE, and its crazy. Next he will be saying that OBL isn't a terrorist.

I am sure he did misspeak. My point is that Republicans never get away with it, and that apparently there are Dems (DU thread), that believe him.

He had to have meant Saddam. Even Dean isn't this stupid.

Perhaps, but Dean made it very clear in his campaign that he would give Osama his day in court before he would judge him guilty.

Did Bin Laden not admit on tape the at he had all to do with 9/11 and was proud of the fanatics who executed it?
Why does OBL fan Dean continue to exonerate his idol? Is this a case of blind idolatry or malignant partisanship and state of denial?

Sorry, just saw your post to me---

You are very correct...We need to keep Reid, Pelosi and Dean.

As long as they stay the leaders of the Dem Party, the party will look like the looney-tune party!!!

BTW, I do like your other Senator, Sen. Ensign.

I wish that the Republicans would make it a point to show the Democrat party the refuge of criminals and degenerates. Maybe they could put up a billboard that reads "I'm an ex-con, and I vote Democrat." What a chance to cripple this unspeakable excuse for a national party. I don't carry water for Republicans, but when the choice is Democrat, well.....

"Stark.

Raving.

Mad."

I think some here take a tounge-in-cheek approcah to agreeing with that sentiment but I think it is very frightenlingly true. The man seriously needs mental help. He is not sane.

Let's face facts.

Howard Dean is one of the most ignorant (i.e. stoopid) idiots on the face of the planet.

...which is why the Democrats like him so much.

He fits right in with the rest of the Liberals.
