Political associates of US Secretary of State Condi Rice ar e stirring the pot on her behalf.
While she takes the high road, they are pushing her name out there.
'She definitely wants to be president,' said one.
But the friend added, Rice isn't planning on quitting [as Secretary of State] to run.
'She wants to be drafted,' the source said.

Thanks...this is a good photo too. Out here on the left coast, I couldn't be more proud of my fellow Alabamian! She just warms my heart.
Rudy has as much of a chance of being serriously considered as John McCain. Rudy was great for NYC and NY- but the Republican president can't be a moderate.
Dr. Rice is not ready to be President in the least (as least as far as I can see, from what I have seen of her). She simply does not come off as strong to me on the weekend talk shows. Silly Wolf Blitz eats her alive at times.
Condi would never get my vote, she is no conservative, she appeals mostly to the RINO's in the party. On the other hand Allen and Delay would get my vote in a minute.
No one else comes close...
You mean Sen. Warner of VA.? The Sen. Warner, on the possible traitor list regarding the constitutional option on judges? That Warner???
I'd love Condi to be our next president....a beautiful black conservative women....she can beat hildabeast hands down...oh please Condi run for president!!! Otherwise, we'll see hildabeast as prezzzzzz
Please guys!!!!! Rice 2008!!! It's a dream!!!
Isn't Warner fundraising already for 2008?
Looks like an unbeatable ticket to me. Seriously.
Looks like she's stylish all the time. Looks like she's tromping through the tall grass in high heels - whatever they are they don't look like work boots:)
I understand why she wants to focus on her job as Sec of State. It is incredibly important right now. She is young enough to take the VP slot and later go for number one.
Wonder if he's keeping his "no filibuster" vote in mind as he thinks of 08? HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUm
Haven't heard that. I, literally, just moved to VA. I will see what I can find out.
I'm with you...VP is where she should be on the ticket.
And??????????????
