Does anyone else think that W affects his Texas drawl at will? He sounded like a Yankee tonight!

I think it is a case of one speaks appropriate to the occasion when in Texas I think his Texas accent is more pronounced but here where he is giving a speech that is going to be heard all over the country it is not so noticeable. I think you tend to speak how those are speaking around you.
I notice I do something similar at work I talk differently if I am talking to a college than if I am talking to a customer or answering the phone.
