Too much yak-yak until the main W event, maybe! I turned it off after he was thru.

I just turned on c-span and it was Joe Scarborough, who never has been and never will be either funny or profound. Turned it back off.

Wow - I wonder if Avon Skin-So-Soft would have kept them away - that's what I used to use in New England.

She absolutely walks in beauty - she gets more gorgeous by the day. My hubby noticed that she's really slim and trim (hint, hint to me). And I keep telling my hairdresser to cut my hair like Mrs. Bush; unfortunately, she seems to think I mean Barbara, not Laura ;-)

Indeed I agree with you I think the same is true of Lynne Cheney if you consider she will be 64 in July

Hubby and the kiddies just got home from the movies, so I'm signing off until tomorrow with the following MUST READ RECOMMENDATION:

from Powerlineblog.com:

ADMINISTRATION PURSUING STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIA
"As usual, President Bush is thinking big, and thinking for the long term. Everyone knows how many talented people India produces, but until now, its economy has been held back by anti-capitalist prejudices left over from the post-colonial era. If India can liberate its economy, it could be a very formidable ally."

LIES AND THE LYING LIBERALS WHO TELL THEM
"The religious left's political operatives have mounted a shrill attack on a significant portion of the Christian community. Four out of five evangelical Christians supported President Bush in 2004 -- a third of all ballots cast for him, according to the Pew Research Center. ... The religious left took note. Political opportunists in its ranks sought a wedge issue to weaken the GOP's coalition of Jews, Catholics and evangelicals and shatter its electoral majority. They passed over obvious headliners and landed on a curious but cunning choice: the environment"

There are times when I think Lynne is more brilliant than her husband. Her intelligence is something to be admired as a woman to be sure.

"Me too. I can't believe there wasn't a live thread. Woe is me."

It appears from their TV schedule that C-Span plans to re-broadcast the President's part of the awards ceremony at 10 PM EST!!!

Not that Barbara isn't a great-looking lady, but she's got about 20 years on me, and with the help of Lady Clairol, I ain't ABOUT to go gray yet ;-)

She is certainly one intelligent and astute lady and a very attractive one too and it is obvious that her husband appreciates both of those qualities

Between her and Laura there's a lot of brains there in the first and second ladies in our Country. Kinda makes you proud.

can't imagine what it feels like to get a piece of sand stuck inbetween your eyeball and the lens

It's not a pretty thing.
