A federal judge whose husband and mother were slain by a disgruntled litigant urged Congress on Wednesday to help bring an end to "truly dangerous" verbal attacks on judges that might lead to violent action. In addition to asking lawmakers to "publicly and persistently repudiate gratuitous attacks on the judiciary," Lefkow called on Congress to increase funding for the U.S. Marshals Service, which protects judges. She also wants legislation to ban putting personal information about judges and other government officials on the Internet without their permission.

then we have the activist judges that change laws t suit themselves and spit in our faces while doing it.

Yea, like the Federal judge that substituted his "opinion" for the votes of 70% of the citizens of Nebraska this week.

Now THAT'S what I call arrogance.

I think we should buy all judges guns so they can protect themselves. Maybe now she will begin to understand how people feel when you take away their means of self defense, especially when they have no marshals or taxpayer provided security.

This really stinks. Seems to be this lady is trading on her dead mother and husband's memories to advance her political agenda. And she wonders why the judiciary doesn't get more respect.

Politicians have been made fun of, criticized, vilified and even attacked from the foundation of the Republic. If you don't think that looks like fun, quit being a politician and start being a judge.

We peasants aren't even allowed to have disturbing-the-peace laws any more.

When a class of "elite" people of two or more parties has been running an incremental class war for a long time, sooner or later, the chickens will come home to roost.
