NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) Heres news that will light the fire of Jim Morrison fans: A filmmaker claims The Doors frontman is alive and raising horses on a ranch in southern Oregon.
Rodeo photographer Gerald Pitts insists Morrison didnt die in July of 1971 and he has current photographs and film footage of the rocker to prove it.
Pitts, who met Morrison in 1998, says the rocker staged his death because of a French conspiracy to kill him, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix with narcotics because they were all Vietnam war protestors.
These days, Morrison isnt the drug user he once was, although Pitts says when he goes over to Jims house hell maybe have an occasional beer.
Now Pitts claims that Morrison is announcing hes alive, in part, to promote his recent agreement to star in a rodeo shoot-out movie based on events that actually happened to Pitts.
Pitts whole story airs on A Current Affair tomorrow (May 20).

Okay, the thing I see immediately is that they both appear to have broken their nose in exactly the same place sometime in the past. Look how both noses have a bump and a slight curve to the left. Weird.

Well, a Zabra search for Oregon found a JAMES D MORRISON, (born) Mar 1949, 2491 BIEHN ST KLAMATH FALLS, OR. A GlobeXplorer photo shows a semi-rural area.
I don't know if this is the same person mentioned in the article but the birthdate listed is 5-and-a-half years later then the singer's -who would be 62.

I think they look very, very much alike. In fact they look more alike than I do to pics of me taken 30 years ago.
There are certain features that could not be done fraudulently, the cheekbones, the nose.
He is missing the mole, though.

There was a guy who got some air time on 98 Rock in Baltimore about 4 years ago who sounded exactly, I mean exactly like Elvis and he put out a music tape/album singing songs by the likes of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, etc. and it sounded really good but kinda weird because you tend to picture Elvis singing these out of character songs.
I'm going to surf the net and see if I can find it.

The one thing that couldn't be changed by plastic surgery is the distance between the eyes. That remains relatively constant. Morrison's eyes are VERY close together (less than one eye length). The other guy has quite widely spaced eyes - almost two complete eye lengths.
I think it's just an interesting coincidence (would this even be an issue if he didn't look anything like him? Probably his friends have been saying, "Did you know you look like . . . " for years. I have a friend who looks exactly like Phil Donahue - to the point that people used to come up to him on the street, even some acquaintances of Donahue mistook him for the real thing. (Now of course it's "Phil DonaWHO?")

I found the guy......
"Gravelands," which answers the musical question, "What would Elvis Presley be singing if he were alive today?" A tribute to great dead rockers of the past, Brown as The King sinks his teeth into such classics as Nirvana's "Come As You Are," AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie," " Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Frank Sinatra's "New York New York," Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry," Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile," Sweet's "Blockbuster," and Eddie Cochran by way of Sid Vicious' "Something Else," among others.

Dang. Jim Morrison didn't seem to have been the happy, optimistic, utopian hippie type. I'd have liked to thought that he possessed enough realistic pessimism to make him a conservative somewhere deep down inside (he was a military brat, you know).
I'll be he's against our troops today, too!

well -- I think that picture sure looks like him. I think this story is BS -- but whoever is in this pic, shares three very compelling similarities. First -- the nose shape is identical. Second, the eyes are identical, and third, the cheek bones are identical. Taken together, it is quite a find if it is a fraud. (Of course, with photo doctoring abilities now -- who knows.)
This would be some story -- but I am sure it will not pan out.

Actually, I suspect this wasn't medical treatment, but a followup attack - which, from the French, might well result in a net decrease in wounds...

Yup.
Just his girlfriend [who died not that long after] and some French coroner that no one ever heard of or could ever locate again.
I personally think he'd do it.

Billy Idol was originally cast as Jim for the movie but the bike accident put him of commission.
He wound up as a bit player that we never saw from the waist down due to the massive cast he was still wearing.
Billy would've done Jim cinematic justice....:)
As an odd side note, every time I think of the bible description of the angel Lucifer, [he was the most beautiful of all created beings] I picture Morrison.
The man was so etherally beautiful that it *hurts*....;))
