I agree with you.
JC Watts is now heading up GOPAC I believe. Promoting a permantent GOP majority. I have a trememndous amount of respect and faith in JC Watts, but I will not blindly support a party that will not act like a majority or lead with ideas that are good for all Americans.
The GOP is going to HAVE to park a position on illegal immigration and our borders. It affects everything in our lives from the economy to jobs, healthcare to education, national security to local politics. It, along with beating back judicial activism, are the two most critical elements to preserving America, our voice, and our future.
GOPAC needs to endorse candidates that are clear on these points, and not wobble around on these issues. People will follow a clear message I believe.
***Excellent assessment, JesseJane! I agree. I am very disappointed in the passive, ineffectual Republicans in Congress. Republicans are going to be smeared and maligned whether they take a stand or not. At least take the stand! Gee whiz! What a chicken-coop!
Exactly... TAKE A STAND...!! People around the world admire Bush's clarity on the WOT.. can we not do that on a domestic level?? This is not a mountain that can't be climed.. but it's hill worth dying on.
Imust apologize for my spelling... I can't blame spellchecker this time.. as my own keyboard finger flyers thought they could control the board without checking with the flight spelling tower.. LOL!!
Glad you could read through the typos'.. / redfaced ~ jj
Perhaps, but I could see Mr. Bolton as a strong candidate for SOS also.
heheh... that's a nice thought too...
Right now, he needs to kick *ss in the UN. It's fix the corruption or we are OUT, as far as I"m concerned. The global left is desperate to keep us in there to further their goal of forcing our leaders to sign on to the ICC and Kyoto... I could rattle on, but I best not do so... :)
"The RATS have been droning on that Good ole Dick has been president for tha last four years anyways!!"
If Cheney wants to run, let him run. After all the Dimocratz had their good ole dick in office for 8 years during the 90's.
Sure will.
Enjoy your escape from CA. It is beautiful there, but sure can wear you down.
G-o-o-d point. The Dems have accused Cheney of being the President instead of Bush-Let's give them eight more years of the Cheney Administration.
With all due respect, Bill Frist has demonstrated all the grit, determination and leadership of...a eunuch on quaaludes.
I like this: "Take a stand...not a mountain that can't be climbed, but it's a hill worth dying on." Poetry/Lyrics.
I usually figure out typos and misspellings - except my own. But, I am dumb big-time on abbreviations and acronyms. Er, what is "WOT"?
Your great, JesseJane. No need for apologies. At least you have a spelling tower - I have to wing it.
P.S. For twenty years I thought the phonetic "EyeBeEm" (IBM) was the name! When I finally realised it stood for International Business Machines, I stayed with using the abbreviation "EyeBeEm".
Oh, only a few minutes later: I got it! WOT = War on Terrorism! Yes? Someone wrote SOS - took me a while to figure out Sec of State. What really threw me for days was POTUS. I'm better at deciphering typos.
I think you're wrong. I think Frist took over the leadership role little more than 2 years ago. This problem is getting the attention is has because it is unique in Senate history and Pres. Bush's nominees to circuit courts are the first against whom this has ever been done in a systematic way.
If I recall the last Senate properly, Frist had 51 Republicans, 48 Dems, and 1 independent to work with. Those same 4 to 6 opposing RINO Republicans were also opposed then.
You should be blaming McCain, Snowe, Chaffee, Harkin, etc.
Thank you PL!!
I appreciate the grace (and kind words) given for the typo's.. but curse my fingers for the acronyms.. I hate them but use them for sped...hehehe I mean speed. :)
To be honest, I'm on the hunt for the meaning of one F/R acronym right now, but nooooooobody iz talkingk! I vill find ze meaningk... I svear!
LOL re: EyebeEm!! What a cute story.. ! Reminds me of a boss I had years and years ago and a debate we had about making Xerox copies when our copy machine was not Xerox.
Just a habit of language when technology did not move so quickly, and when it did, it was fine, because we all knew what they really meant. And didn't find the need to make a snide and cutting comment. In those days, doing such a thing, exposed the finks lack of class and humility. It would be nice to return to the days of common courtesy, and respect.
Thank you PL!!

You're quite welcomed, JJ. I know what you mean about Xerox copies - Xerox became a generic term. Like in Britian all vacuum cleaners are called "Hoovers."
Common courtesy and respect? What's that?
A TRADITIONAL VALUE?
Keep up the Good Fight, best wishes from PL...
Are you sure you're not confusing Santorum with someone else.
Besides from his support of Spector in 2004, I can't think of one other thing Santorum has done to earn a conservative's wrath.
Besides, I strongly suspect it was Bush/Rove who "convinced" Santorum to support Spector over Toomey, who despite his conservative rhetoric and credentials, was a relative unknown newcomer to state and national politics.
Rove and Santorum obviously made the safe move by supporting Spector, who despite his frequent foibles continues to vote with the GOP on most critical issues.
If Toomey had defeated Spector in the Republican primary, I feel quite certain the Democrat (was it Joe Hoeffle?) would have carried Pennsylvania in the general election, and today we would be facing a US Senate with 54 Repubs and 46 Dems instead of 55 to 45.
Remember, Pennsylvania's voter registration remains a double digit Dem voter advantage due to Philly and Pittsburgh.
Believe, I hate Spector probably more than yourself, but sometimes you have to follow the party line.
That said, can you name me another time where a junior US Senator, either Dem or Repub, threw his support behind the senior Senator's opponent of the same party in a primary?
Ann Coulter for President! (Or at least, let her be Bush's first Supreme Court appointment).
Now we're talking!! I'd love to see her in WH pressers giving it back to those liberal commie toadies.
It must be Mike Pence in 2008!!!!
I'd love to see Anne Coulter as White House media spokesman (instead of current numb fellow)!
Can you imagine how Coulter would answer Helen Thomas?
And, how Coulter would answer the press' three-paragraphed biased-essays begging the question?
