It is with great regret and sadness that I must inform you of Frank Gorshin's passing today. I felt it was important to release this information to you, those who loved him best, before you heard it on the news.

Please know that, during Frank's sporadic moments of lucidity while he was struggling these past few weeks with pneumonia, he wanted you all to know how much he appreciated the prayers and well wishes of you, his loyal fans.

There will never be another like him. We will miss him dearly.

Frank Gorshin 4/5/34-5/17/05 Frank will always be my friend ...John Stacks

I thought Lokai was his quarry. Gorshin was Commissioner Baal, or some such name, who was after him.

It's apparently true. He's already listed at findagrave.com.

Didn't he play in an episode of the first Star Trek series where one side of the face was white and the other side was black. He fought against his twin whose face was colored the same but opposite sides of the face? The bottom line of the story was stopping racial bigotry.

Oh, your title is just fine, and I'm not criticizing it for accuracy. I would've found myself with the same dilemma as to how to word it, since there's almost no way around it coming across like something Drebbin would say in one of those Naked Gun flicks. Death brings about black humor; we humans can't help ourselves.

But we've got to verify it legally To see...
To see?
If he...
If he?
Is morally, ethically
Spiritually, physically
Positively, absolutely
Undeniably and reliably
Dead!

What would be the appropriate wording? 'Probably Dead'? 'Possibly Dead'?

He's not only merely dead, he's really most sincerely dead.

With the recent non-death of the guy who runs forsakethetroops.com, I guess I'm feeling less than trusting today. But the guy who posted on the '66 Batman board does seem trustworthy, unfortunately.

Incidentally, some Freepers may enjoy Frank Gorshin's drawings. The Riddler had a plan for terrorism.

What was his character in the final Season of Star Trek:TOS? And was he white on the right or left side of his face? ?

Lokai. He was white on his left side of his face. Black on his right.

What was his adversary's name? Hmmm?

Quite a list of crdits. I met Frank Gorshin in a hotel bar in Duluth, MN and he bought me a beer. I threw him a softball, asking if he had started his career on the flying trapeze and he immediately went into his Burt Lancaster routine. The whole place roared.
