Alvy, founder of PABAAH.com, is slated to appear on "ABC World News Tonite with Peter Jennings" tonite(Wednesday 5/18/05 6:30PM EST).
Topic: Reaction to George Lucas and his anti-Americanism at the Cannes Film Festival and subsequent boycott of all things Lucas.
Perhaps Mr. Lucas can cite one freedom he's lost?
"It is just one of those re-occuring things. I hope this doesn't come true in our country. Maybe the film will awaken people to the situation of how dangerous it is . . . The parallels between what we did in Vietnam and what we are doing now in Iraq are unbelievable." --George "Michael Moore" Lucas
Thanks for the heads-up....I will check it out tonight.
I love how all these lefists blame "the lies of Vietnam" on Richard Nixon. He didn't get us involved there and was the one who finally got us out!
Hey Lucas, why don't you comment on that wonderful war in Bosnia? Or maybe Kosovo?
True. America went into Vietnam for a damn good reason, and America went into Iraq for a damn good reason. So I'm with you on the parallels, George.
check out this interview...they are almost gleeful

As Senator Padme, played by Natalie Portman, watches Palpatine consolidate his power amid a rapturous senate, she comments disgustedly, "This is how liberty dies: with thundering applause."
"I didn't expect that to be true," Lucas said, then laughed. "It gets truer every day, unfortunately."
(producer) McCallum was willing to make one prediction: "There's no question that the French are going to love the movie. We are definitely going to get the Golden Freedom Fry Award for best movie of the year, because they'll see it exactly the way they see their relationship with us now."
I used to like his movies but not now. @$$hat kennedy should have never started with nam in the first place.
Yes, they are gleeful.....it is too bad. I probably won't see the movie as I am not a Star Wars fan, but I know and love many who are. Many that are die-hard conservatives but will put that aside to see the movie. They are just that big of fans. At least the other side is being heard a little, I will definitely watch tonight.
Have a great day!
Hollyweird serves only to remind of of how America hating they are.

Friend, this is one of those times.
If you think you are going to be put on ABC tonight for any reason other than to be made fun of, you are sadly mistaken.
You know, people were looking for hidden meanings in the oddest places even back in the 1960's. In fact, one man thought he had detected hidden meanings from songs he had heard on the Beatles self-titled double album. He used the "messages" as the basis for the murders of eight human beings. His name? Charles Manson.
This, if anything, should tell you what kind of people look for meanings in places where there are none.
I guess we shall see, eh? Unsure how speaking from the heart can be twisted...
It has been an amazing couple of years, I never had any idea how many people would see something wrong in standing proudly for your country.
I appreciate your concern, though.
Thanks for the update on the time. You have mail.
Dude, for one thing, you are tilting at windmills.
all righty then...
But it tells you nothing about the kind of people who look for meanings in places where there are some. Lucas and Actors in this project are the ones highlighting said 'hidden meanings'. We are just commenting on these acknowledged 'hidden meanings'. Which apparently were not hidden very well.
