Good morning, m'dear...just wondering..what was your take on Coleman's hearing yesterday. Concensus is he was upstaged...I think he has the guy cold...he let him hang himslef yesterday...A good prosecutor never shows all his evidence..
Coleman made several appearances after the hearing. In all of them he was smiling like the cat that ate the canary :)
It wasn't Coleman's intent to debate Galloway but to have his comments on record. Coleman remarked that though Galloway was colorful he's not credible. As a prosecutor, Coleman is setting the stage, so to speak. More, much more to come, IMHO.
You didn't ask me, but I watched yesterday and I'm positive tht my assessment that Coleman was masterful, (and don't forget Carl Levin--he was very good in his question period), is correct.
I also want to point out to all that Congress did not call Galloway. They released a report last week that named him and others as recipients of illegal oil allocations and Galloway wanted this appearance. He did not get the full Committee, he got Coleman and Levin and a panel preceding him of investigators laying out the hard cold facts.
Yes, Galloway was entertaining. But he's in trouble now. More than before he blustered his way over here.
