I get a saucer with my espresso at some shops... still use ice to cool it (I've got a "cats tongue"). But I don't pour out my drink into the saucer, that doesn't make any sense to me.
I've never heard of that either (pouring into saucer).
You can drink espresso? Lord, you must have a cast-iron stomach! I'm a 'coffee-in-the-milk type myself.
