Schumer is claiming the Pubbies have a slim majority of 5 Senators. I think they have a majority of 11. 55 Republicans and 44 Democrats. That's what the American people voted for in the last election. That is not 5 and that is not slim.

Don't misunderstand me...I want cloture..but in just listening to the Dems for a few hours, I get the sense that "forcing" them to talk for 50 hours, give or take..will end up hirting them..when you have NOTHING to say...you can pretend for a few minutes, but NOT for 50 hours..

McCain's problem is that to get elected "big time" he needs votes from people outside of Arizona. And he has to start by getting a lot of republican votes... unless he really thinks an independent can win.... and he doesn't think that.

In answer to everything, the Democrats make me sick! They are vile and souless, I hesitate to call them people! I will go to the wall with anyone seeking to destroy them once and for all.
