THE Government today underlined its promise not to pull out of Iraq "before the job is done".
The Foreign Office said UK troops would stay in the country as long as the Iraqi government wanted them to.
The multinational force’s mandate is due to expire in December when the Iraqis will have agreed a constitution by referendum and held elections.
