Galloway speaks to the media after arriving Monday at Dulles International Airport outside Washington.
(CNN) -- British Parliament member George Galloway will face his accusers when he testifies Tuesday before a U.S. Senate panel probing the U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq.
Galloway is due to appear before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which stated in a report last week that deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein granted him vouchers for 20 million barrels of oil between 2000 and 2003.

Galloway is scheduled to appear late Tuesday morning in Washington as the final witness in a hearing that begins at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Galloway, 51, who met with Saddam several times in the 1990s, has been a leading critic of British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his alliance with U.S. President George Bush in the war with Iraq. He was re-elected on an anti-war platform earlier this month.

A new report from Democrats on the Senate subcommittee concludes the United States ended up with a majority of the oil lifted from Iraq after vendors paid illicit surcharges of 10 cents to 30 cents a barrel to Saddam.

The Democratic report found Bayoil shipped a lot of oil allocated to a company called Italtech run by Augusto Giangrandi, a sometime Florida resident with dual Chilean-Italian citizenship.

I think you made the right decision not to go to DUmmyland!
You should listen to yourself: "interviews" with the "vaunted American poeple." You sound pretty "elitist" yourself. The planet does not spin on Media, you know. How is it that the Democrat outspent the GOP by something like 3 to one in the last election - and had the mos tpartisan media war against the GOP in our history - and still lost?
Let me repeat myself: bug up your faith and courage.
And my "interviews" with the "vaunted American people" are going quite well, thank you very much.
The 2:00 PM time is Eastern --the way that C-span 2 gave it...
I usually post eastern times because that is what c-span always posts...
Although, I also heard that Lieberman is supposed to have a meeting this afternoon 3:30 eastern with Frist and Snowe to try to work this out---my question, why SNOWE? why can't there be ONE Republican in that meeting--geez, two against one---Frist won't have a chance...lol
C-span said that they would let us know if anything during that meeting would influence the timing of tomorrows scheduled judicial nominees action starting at 2:00 eastern.
But that's how they fight. It's their life's blood, the essence of their being. If one isn't willing to get down and fight fire with fire, what's left? You're defeated and they win if you just lay down and take it. If you do fight fire with fire, you lose for getting down to their level too defeat them. It's a paradox.
I often feel the way you do, but I am humbled by how people like Bush and Cheney just plunge ahead, get results and fail to stoop to the level of the liberals. It is something to think about.
If I could be more like them that would be a plus. I find it hard to take the high road and let it roll off my back, when they do nothing but ridicule, deride, debase and wish ill on my country and party.
I'm glad I made the right decision too. From your post, it looks like your stomach was turned by their hatred.
I think all these last minute meetings are primarily just for media and public consumption. After all this time, and with the lines drawn, what else could possibly be offered that would be acceptable to both sides?
What would a moderate Dim and a RINO bring to Frist at this eleventh hour?
thanks
p.s. I'm of the opinion that his ranting and avoidance of questions speaks to his guilt and will be used against him, not just in Senate, but in the court of opinion as well.
When we want to speak of the idiocy of the liberal left, we need only point to Galloway as a prime example.
What makes me the maddest, is that Lieberman and Reid and the rest are actually calling on Republican senators to "be brave" and "do the right thing" by going against the party and the constituents that voted them in....
I think that is the seediest part of this, the begging for help, when they know and everyone knows that the decision that is made COULD affect this country for a very, very long time...and I cannot imagine a Republican senator that has any integrity that would "cross-over" on such an important juncture in our judicial history...
Here is a link/video of Galloway's opening.

I'm sure that C-span will have it---later, if not now....
Integrity is not a word that applies to RINO's like Voinovich, McLame, Snow-job etc.
These people like Galloway that defend the pre-war Iraq (which means with Saddam) just won't admit how truly despicable these Islomfacsists are---
Just a while ago Fox reported on more than a couple of mulim priests or imams, or whatever they are called, that have been murdered by these idiots....
They kill because the think someone flushed a book, but they don't hesitate to kill the "holy people" that supposedly teach from that book....
AND THE DEMS ACT LIKE WE ARE THE CRAZY ONES!!!!!
I am back and all powered up; now, what did I miss???
Preach it, son.
I think they've been at lunch and are voting on the Hwy Bill next. I'm listening to Rush.
Is Galloway done?
Galloway rant and raved .. says he didn't take a dime
I'd follow Cyn's posts .. she did a good reporting on what happened
