Galloway speaks to the media after arriving Monday at Dulles International Airport outside Washington.

(CNN) -- British Parliament member George Galloway will face his accusers when he testifies Tuesday before a U.S. Senate panel probing the U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq.

Galloway is due to appear before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which stated in a report last week that deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein granted him vouchers for 20 million barrels of oil between 2000 and 2003.

**SNIP**

Galloway is scheduled to appear late Tuesday morning in Washington as the final witness in a hearing that begins at 9:30 a.m. ET.

**SNIP**

Galloway, 51, who met with Saddam several times in the 1990s, has been a leading critic of British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his alliance with U.S. President George Bush in the war with Iraq. He was re-elected on an anti-war platform earlier this month.

**SNIP**

A new report from Democrats on the Senate subcommittee concludes the United States ended up with a majority of the oil lifted from Iraq after vendors paid illicit surcharges of 10 cents to 30 cents a barrel to Saddam.

**SNIP**

The Democratic report found Bayoil shipped a lot of oil allocated to a company called Italtech run by Augusto Giangrandi, a sometime Florida resident with dual Chilean-Italian citizenship.

Galloway was given a worldwide stage to spout his anti-American venom. You can bet the MSM will play up his remarks on the war and his attacks against Coleman and Bush.

He will come out of this smelling like roses. Damn, just damn.

They have recessed because there is a vote on the Senate floor for the highway bill. Recesses are not uncommon for votes.

It sounded like they were excusing Galloway from questioning at the end..was that it?

I think it was because Galloway wasn't answering the questions

Heck .. Levin is considered friendly and even Galloway managed to tick him off a bit

I would imagine some American comp skirted sanctions, which has been in the news for a decade.

And if laws were broken I'm sure they will be caught.

My point is that I for one, and others in government, (who are now derided as neo-cons), have called the immoral policy of containment that consigned millions to tyranny for a decade, a policy that could not be sustained.

They would not let him get away with this sort of evasion and prevaricating in Parliament. He would not dare try it. Even Levin got PO'd for a second. It is obvious that he has something to hide. Much easier to become an MP than it is to become a Senator. He is out of his league here.

If the have real evidence he may face prosecution in the UK. Do not forget that.

Coleman is not a fool, there must be something real there.

Too bad his 'good friend' is spilling the beans on him.
