Damn! you beat me to it. After much research, I have concluded that Hallibuton is behind just about everything happening today, including my inability to purchase a decent beer while sitting at the border watching all those wonderful folk coming across to get their drivers licences.

Cool, maybe I'll try for some TV DX and see if I can pick up skip on my police scanner. I once picked up South African police and the British Army on my scanner when the sun was acting up.

No, last night's aurora was from the M8 flare on Friday at 1653Z. CME was aimed right at us. Had transcontinental auroral-E on 50mHz (unusual) around midnight local (PDT) last night.

It was the first night actual lava was visible in the crater on Mt. St. Helens after the Oct eruption. They showed some pics on the local news and I scrambled to get digital images and upload them.

Lotsa people liked the lamp!!!

I think it was when Mt. St. Helen's was going off. That picture was taken by a very kind Freeper, of his TV set hoping to capture the event.

You can just about imagine where that thread went....

Yeah, djf was kind enough to provide the link, and that thread was hilarious! I think I see Elvis next to the lamp.

"Yesterday and today my cable signal and corresponding broadband from Comcast has been cutting out every 10 - 15 minutes."

That's the guy next door's kid playing basketball while they watch satelite TV. Oh wait a minute - nevermind.
