I don't think all were Americans, but a few US deaths have been attributed to this uprising....and this will spread to Iraq,,,they won't believe any so-called retraction...the terrorist heard what they wanted to hear and will now use it to their full advantage..

From what I have read, No Americans in Afghanistan yet have died as a result from the rioting, but as you say, this will spark more attacks on our Soldiers in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Unfortunately true they will just see the retraction as US propaganda how a so called news source can do this whilst US troops and others are in harms way plus the long term harm such an article does is beyond reason.

Even if it had been true it is something that should have been disciplined internally and never reported one time where for the sake of national security and the long term welfare of the Afgans that suppression and censoring is acceptable.
