Read it all up to this point.
Single for life was a great choice when I think of the alternative.
I think the cartoonist, Larson, covered scientists pretty well : )
I not only put the seat back down, I close the lid. It is amazing what does not end up in the toilet that way, especially when grandkids are involved.

LOL Muslim death threat letters to the site that posted this pic..... (is that an abused ham in the corner ?)
That is what two bathrooms come in handy.
That is quite slobby, leaving wet towels on the floor like it's a YMCA locker rooom or something. I can understand that being a real peever.
No matter HOW much the muzzies hate it, history has taught, armies and prostitutes ALWAYS find ways to mingle.

Verbosity.
That's the one that makes me want to strangle my wife. When I converse with folks at a party or social gathering I like to ask questions about them and hear about their life and their thoughts on things. My wife likes to dominate any conversation. It drives me nuts. I actually avoid social settings with her.
I got an answer for that one. I have my own bathroom. She enters at her peril. I'll clean my own toilet thankyou. She stores some extra towels in there cause I don't use all the space but she knows better than to enter my domain if I am ensconced.
Well, I've read the whole thread and haven't seen my pet peeve yet. Sweetie pie likes to take a cup of coffee with him in the mornings when he leaves for work...no problem.
Until he decides to clean out his truck of all the used coffee cups and they end up on whatever's handy next to the back door. Don't suggest paper or styrofoam cups because he likes real coffee cups. So, when I'm low on coffee cups I go outside and bring them in.
As far as the seat being up or down, leave it up because I've gotten so used to putting it down, I'd probably wake up too fast and die of a heart attack.
My wife used to gripe constantly about me leaving the toilet seat up, so now I leave it down.
Of course it has pee all over it.
I was away for awhile tonight. Had to go on ANOTHER tv-run, the SECOND in 2 days!! This time, it was another Rca, a ctc-25xa, from 1967. this is a rectangular set, with a tuning window that looks at first glance like an LCD display or such(it just has normal dials behind it.)
The set is in good shape, with a big mark on the top, where some dingbat left a plant or something on it, for many years. Otherwise, it looks quite good. AND-- it WORKS!! After careful checking, and slow-start with the HO output tube unhooked, and checking the cage(all is well inside,) I fired her up. GOOD tube! The CRT has been replaced sometime in the past, looks like a rere-earth or matrix type in it now. NO cataracts at all. I had a Dayton station on for about 10 minutes or so, then, checked the fly, to see if it was getting hot. NO, it was COOL!! After about 20 minutes-- the fly was only barely lukewarm.. WONDERFUL news!! GOOD color, all 3 guns strong, . The only problems I could see on the nearly 40- year old set, -- the VHF tuner seems to be a little messed up, in the fine tuning knob. And, the purity is off a little, along with a little convergence error. And there is a VERY slight ripple in the picture-- I'm sure a cap or two in the PS could use changing.
BUT hey, the price was right. FREE!! Saved another one from a crushing burial. What a weekend, TWO old Tv's in 2 days!! a roundie ctc-16 combo from '65, and now a ctc25, from '67!! And BTW-- the guy who turned me on to both of the sets,(after allowing me to lose a ctc5 AND 7 last year) is a member of the Dayton radio club, and is about ten years older than me, at 47, and HE lives at home, too, and in his PARENTS house, not one he is half-paying for. He has NO intention of leaving, and does NOT plan to ever marry. (not worth the trouble, he states).
Let me guess. As a loving, Christian husband, you're not the one who cleans the bathroom, right?
Lol...
Most toilet seats have a lid. So I put both down and my wife does too. This makes it fair for everyone.
