To call the koran holy is like saying an open pit of raw sewage is a healthy place to bathe.

You can call it anything you like, but it's still filth.

The word of allah as dictated by his minion mohammed are nothing more the ravings of someone in the grips of syphilitic dementia.

“Disrespect for the holy Qur'an is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be, tolerated by the United States” Condoleezza Rice said.

She is welcome to try and stop me from doing what I want and when I want to do it to the Qur'an. Last time I checked this was America not some Dictatorship, Condi. Although from what she said, she might wish it was.

Actually, Al-Jaz did some creative editing (surprise, surprise). She actually said "...tolerated by the United States government." That's a little different and reasonable. It shouldn't be the policy of the government to plug up toilets. It's just not sanitary.

Now, if I could find some Koran 2-ply, I'd be wiping right now.

Any sentient, literate American would know the virtually inevitable effect of the publication of such an allegation on the unsettled minds of the residents of Islam. But, IMHO, Newsweek editors' innate wish to discredit President Bush and all his works and all his ways, and especially every aspect of the struggle against Islamofascism as it si being waged under his leadership, easily could trump honest and ethical journalistic practices, not to mention common sense. After all - - - the riots and rampages and killings notwithstanding - - -, Newsweek editors can simply say, "We made a mistake. So what's the big deal"?

YES! You , sir, have solved the financial problem of making Desecration of the Koran for Freedom possible for everyone.
But it's not good enough to DO this- it must be widely known that this is happening all over the US.
It'll drive'em crazier than they already are.
When maniacs give you a great weapon to use against them....
USE IT!

You said you never got around to reading the Qu'ran because it is so unreadable. I decided to copy/paste the parts I've noticed as being relevant to the current situation

Fascinating. Whatever else Islam is, it is not a religion of peace. It may promote "peace of mind"; that is, contentment that one has received a true revelation from God, but the religion does not promote peace on earth and goodwill among men.

Sheesh!

Until every Muslim I meet falls to their knees and begs forgiveness for the crimes of their 'brothers', who willfully target those of differing religions for annihilation, I'll daily pray for the utter destruction of islam and their vile koran.

Islam advocates peace among members of the gang. All outsiders (infidels), though, are targets to be robbed and murdered unless they agree to join the gang

Once you join the gang, though, you have to bow to the leaders (imams/mullahs/etc) or they will declare you an apostate and have you killed.

There are two main viewpoints regarding the status of the individual. One is that the individual is the property of the Group (the Party, the Fatherland, the Race, the Ummah) and may be sacrificed whenever it suits the purposes of the group. The other is that the individual belongs to himself, that he joins groups to better accomplish goals that are easier to achieve with cooperation of others than working alone, and when a group no longer suits he purposes, he may leave and associate with some other group that suits him better; that the individual is endowed with certain rights that may not be stripped from him.

Islam belongs to the first category. The individual is nothing -- he is a Slave of Allah (which is what Muslim means). Islam spread by the sword. The Islamic world was prosperous only as long as it had a steady inflow of loot and slaves who knew how to run a civilization. Most of the "achievements" of Islam were stolen (algebra and "Arabic numbers" from India, construction knowledge from the Romans and Byzantium, general knowledge and culture from Mesopotamia and Persia, etc). Once the conquests and loot were halted, Islamic "civilization" went into decline. Islam is only awakening now because of unearned oil money

Ironically, the most frequent and violent oppressors of Muslims are other Muslims, a fact which makes a lie of the claim that Islam is a religion of peace, except, of course, as I claimed originally: the religion does provide adherents with a feeling of certainty.
