Republicans celebrate major achievements (Missouri)

Missouri is open for business. Republican lawmakers left the 2005 legislative session on Friday touting their attempts to improve Missouri's economy. And so did the business lobbyists.

"Lawmakers have sent the message to employers in our state -- and beyond -- that Missouri is serious about providing a climate that will enable (them) to grow and create jobs," said Dan Mehan, president of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in a statement.

Another major achievement is the amount of money now being spent on much needed road work. It will be a PIA summer due to contruction, but nice once it is done.

If you're not from Missouri, we passed a ballot measure to actually spend federal and state transportation money on roads. Pretty radical huh?

Worthy of an Xer Ping because read in the excerpt of all the stuff this guy got done. If Xers are all this effective when we take over from the Baby Boomers the future is bright in deed.
