"Garcia-Gomez had lived in Denver for less than a year, during which he received three traffic citations for driving without a license and insurance. He worked at Cherry Cricket restaurant as a dishwasher and had provided two false forms of identification, including a fake Social Security number."

I assume him having the gun he shot the cops with was illegal too.

The border to Mexico will be closed, it is only a question of how many more innocent people will have to die before that happens.

Here in California, you can see illegals driving down the road all the time. The CHP could pick them up, but there is nowhere to put them.

I am thinking that we should confiscate all of their belongings and put them on a bus to Mexicali. Car, money, everything.

Use the money from their illegal activities to help fund the schools.

After having that happen a few times, maybe they would get the idea.

I wonder what would happen to a US citizen with 3 traffic citations and no insurance, and fake IDs.

You Said: "I am thinking that we should confiscate all of their belongings and put them on a bus to Mexicali. Car, money, everything"

Response: In addition to buses; trains, semi trucks, aircraft, taxi's, motorcycles even tricyles and pogo sticks could be used! A mass movement towards Mexico.

The thing about a Greyhound....

They make regular runs to Mexicali, they are cheap, and we could tell the bus driver not to stop until he is over the border.

They are uncomfortable, lack decent restroom facilities, and would give the guys plenty of time to think about that 76 Datsun pickup, their toolbox, and all the other crap they loved so much.

I am serious. We don't have to jail them, just take everything they own, make them uncomfortable for a few hours, and get rid of them.

After being dropped off in Mexicali with nothing but their clothes a few times, they will get the idea.

No. They walked over the border, they can walk back across the border. I can see them being herded from LA to Calexico jus' like the ol' Chisum Trail.

It may make them think twice about walking back across again.

The shooter has no rights. He should be shot on sight.

I wonder if the mayor of Denver (who employed this known illegal alien in his restaurant for almost a year) went to the funeral, and if he was spit upon and cursed at?

In my personal view, failure to close our borders and lock them down with troops is an exercise in treason! Thousands of Hispanic illegals and illegals from Arab countries walk across our border every week. This is exactly what is happening in Iraq: the insurgents are coming from Syria and Iran. An covert invasion is an invading army nonetheless!

Just another reason why I am fed up with the game pf "politics as usual" in Washington D.C. First, both parties, sold U.S. jobs overseas by means of NAFTA. Now that the U.S. economy is totally messed up, the politicians are allowing corporations to eliminate pension programs by means of bankruptcy. Social Security and Medicare are being destroyed by hoards of Hispanic illegals anxious to climb on the gravy train. Hospitals are closing in California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas because of illegals demanding free medical care. Do the Republicans and Democrats in power even give a foul Shi'ite about what is happening? NO!

Time to read the Declaration of Independence again! Read it again with genuine conviction!

Who gave the orders to the Border Patrol not to arrest this guy?!

The person who gave the order must be prosecuted, even if it's the President, himself!!!

Has anyone ever been to a baptismal party that requires security guards? And one of them wears a bullet proof vest? I guess I really lead a sheltered life.

Don't know if he was spit upon or crused at, but...

Colorado Gov. Bill Owens and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper headed the list of dignitaries who attended the Mass.

Illegals aren't afraid of our government or justice system. If they feared our citizenry, perhaps they would flee back where they came from.

***I wonder what would happen to a US citizen with 3 traffic citations and no insurance, and fake IDs.***

Here's what happens in DuPage County, Illinois....

Years ago our local paper would publish a 'Crime Report. It was actually a synopsis of the trials at the County Court House during the previous week. And in every instance where it mentioned "Driving without a License and Insurance" and the last name was Hispanic, the fine would be $50.00 plus some pittance like $35 for the initial infraction like an illegal turn.

However, if the last name was Anglo, like say Johnson and undoubtedly a U.S. citizen, the fine ranged from $500 to $750! And the fine for the initial infraction ALSO went up.

It was like the judges were saying, "What the hell, they're just going to disappear and not pay anyway so why bother."

I swear this is true, and also quite puzzling is that the paper quit publishing the trial verdicts. It's like the paper was saying, "We don't want people to see this unequal application of the law and the breaks illegals are getting."
