This streak (142 'cuts made' in a row) is one of the greatest streaks in sports, perhaps the greatest, imo.
One of the greatest, yes, but it pales in comparasion to DiMaggio's 56 game streak or Ripken's consecutive games streak....I would put it right there, actually, at number 3....

How does his streak compare with Ripken's? Its apples and oranges. Woods not only had to show up, he had to perform at a certain level. You'd have to compare his streak to someone who has hit over 300 for several years straight, or maintained a QB rating of over 100 for 5 years straight.
Dimaggio, as it shows someone performing over a certain level for a pd of time is valid. Ripken did not have to hit 300 during that streak, he just had to show up.
