If Tiger Woods made 142 consecutive cuts over seven years, then this computes to only 20 tournaments a year. Is that standard for a PGA golfer?

well he had a knee injury in that time span and got married and took quite a few months off in the past few years...

that is why I put Ripken's and DiMaggio's streaks ahead of his....

He plays less than most. You are correct. Most player play around 27-32 tourneys a year............. they need the loot a little more!

20 would be about standard for the big names on tour, as they have other commitments beyond simply playing on tour. Being able to select and choose which tournaments you play in does take away from the record a bit. There are also a few tournaments every year without a cut that still count towards the record. I don't mean to degrade his cut record because compared to his peers, no one is close to him.
