Satan is still at work in the world unleashing "evil energy", but God will be the final arbiter of history, Pope Benedict XVI said at yesterday's General Audience at the Vatican.
Reuters reports that he also said that nations and leaders must look for God's hand in history in the past and learn from it.
"History, in fact, is not in the hands of dark forces, left to chance or just human choices," he told thousands of people in St. Peter's Square. "Above the unleashing of evil energy, above the vehement interruptions of Satan, above the so many scourges of evil, rises the Lord, supreme arbiter of history," the pope said in an address reflecting on the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
He urged the faithful to look for and recognise what he called "hidden divine interventions in history".

Certainly it would be much worse if he had said,
"God no match for Satan."
I gave up on with duality, all those pluralisms
made my heads swim.

Satan has no power, beyond causing one to inhibit evil thoughts and evil deeds.

Yes, but did he say it in the manner of a WWE wrestler?I don't recall him saying one should eat their vitamins, but I can well imagine he urges everyone to pray.

In the favorite words of John Paul the Great: Be not afraid! I thought Sean Hannity said that.

Yep, saw it on South Park. Well, technically it was Jesus vs. Satan... and Satan threw the fight, but Jesus got the belt!
