Shame on Gail Collins, opinion editor of the Times.
I second the motion.

The NYT is insistent upon becoming a third-world rag I guess.

Since most of its readers these days are devout Marxists it should just skip the news and run excerpts from Mao's Little Red Book. :-(

The Times has no comics page; they use the op-ed page instead.

The occasion was this ridiculous claptrap op-ed purporting to show that John Bolton shares the psychological characteristics of psychopaths (and business executives!).

Don't we all share these...LOL. Seriously psychology has been allowed too much influence. I've read several books that compare people to "little Hitlers" for simply not budging in their opinions. Psychologists and Lawyers two of my favorites.

-Just recently, the Times solemnly promised to work harder to rebuild readers' trust. Is this sort of flim-flammery what they had in mind?-

All these, er, kerfuffles will now be blamed on the...news delivery guys! Yes, they just take the papers before a FINAL CHECK can be made on the facts! It's a serious problem, and the Slimes will make every effort to keep them in line!

What shocks me is the NYT did little or nothing to check her credentials. Most medical journals check the qualifications of the writer including whether they are members in good standing with the Board of Medical Examiners. This is quite easy to do.

Surely, a simple call or two would have forewarned the editorial board of the NYT. I can only assume they liked and agreed with the conclusions; hence, they just published. More of a blot on them then even Jason Blair.

Belinda is a MORON...

New research shows UK men are just as keen as women to get hitched and settle down.

Scientists think it indicates men have the same 'biological clock' feelings as women. The survey, commissioned by Archers Schnapps, claims 48% of men said their ideal woman was 'the marrying type'. Psychologist Belinda Board, who questioned 1,000 18-34 year olds, has identified this new haste to get hitched as the male "alter ego".

Belinda Board comments, “It’s interesting that ‘happily married’ role models like Brad Pitt and David Beckham, could be influencing young men by taking the stigma away from settling down earlier on in life. This in turn is prompting a natural competitiveness amongst young men who now fear being left on the shelf whilst all their friends get married."

She continues, “Young women have different priorities in life than previous generations. Quite often the need to settle down and have a family is replaced with the need to be successful in a career or become financially stable. Compounding this, female friends are playing a bigger role in a young woman’s life.

TV shows like Friends, Ally McBeal and Sex and the City that influencing the next generation of young women more than we think.”
