Dean: Socialist victory equals win for Dems

Answer me this question: Why does Ann Coulter get pie whipped at her for saying in print what Howard Dean now says openly?
For some reason, if the world's most recognizable conservative makes the assertion, it's satanic venom. But if the head of the Democratic Party spouts it, the media yawns and goes about its day as normal.
But such was life on May 10, 2005. Consider the irony.
At 5:23 a.m., in New York City, few televisions tuned in to see it. But if you did what you saw was a crowd that was later estimated at between 250,000 to 300,000 Georgians packing Freedom Square to cheer on the person they see as a "Freedom Fighter" – President George W. Bush.
The president's speech was stirring, and the Georgians applauded wildly. He spoke articulately of the fight for freedom and honored the sacrifice Georgians had made to even be having that very event. He spoke with great conviction of the moral greatness of sovereignty and self-determination. He said all of this on the soil that use to be home to one of the socialist Soviet states.
Meanwhile, in Weirdsville, USA, a disturbing story ran in a small Vermont paper. (Come to think of it, does Vermont have a large paper?)
According to the Bennington Banner, Howard Dean – whose job it is to enhance the prospects of the Democratic Party – chose instead to come out in support of a card-carrying socialist in Vermont's clamorous race for Jim Jeffords' soon-to-be-open U.S. Senate seat.
Instead of backing a Democrat for the upcoming Senate Race, Dean departed from his own party and endorsed the state's only congressman.
"A victory for Bernie Sanders, is a win for Democrats," said Dean. "Bernie is a strong candidate," he added.
Did we mention that Dean gets paid to endorse actual Democrats? Members of the socialist, communist, Green, and a whole host of other parties may in fact be indistinguishable from Democrats, but Terry McAuliffe never confused the matter by endorsing one.
Evidently Dean sees so many similarities in the socialist agenda, he's betting he can endorse someone outside his own party and get by with it. Of course, conservatives have seen the similarities for years, but seem to be pelted by boys who throw like sissies whenever they stand up and say so.
Mind you, Vermont is so small (and insignificant) that it is easier to become a senator than a congressman. But leaving its small population aside, Vermont prides itself on being "progressive," where evidently their Republicans are Democrats, and their Democrats are socialists.
It is unfortunate that our public school systems are doing such a horrible job teaching our children anything truthful about history that they can no longer articulate why a person running for public office as a socialist is a bad thing. Lucky for smart kids, we have Ann Coulter, David Horowitz and others who are able to articulately lay out some of the distinct differences. Of course, any time Ann is given a stage to speak from, she is threatened with airborne pies thrown by men who have worse aim and throwing abilities than most girly girls.
The media, Gov. Dean, and the Democratic Party at large may not find it objectionable that Dean endorsed the current-day equivalent of the Kremlin to run for the U.S. Senate.
Fortunately, most Americans still do. And hopefully the Democratic and socialist agendas will be prevented from victory in Vermont.
Democratic and socialist agenda? I apologize for the redundancy.
