I know Rita was often thought of as a "tabloid" type reporter, but I thought she did well covering many different stories and acting as anchor interviewing many different people.
But it is unsettling to see the men on this and other boards obsess about her weight. She's just about "average" as compared with most people I see every day. It's just that these men seem to want their newswomen to look like "babes", and anyone who deviates from their standard gets trashed.
Agreed on both counts! Fox should have both on much more than they are.

Megyn Kendall is extremely intelligent and she can explain the news more cogently than just about anyone around, IMO, and much more attractive than Laurie Dhue. I'm sorry but I think Laurie is funny-looking (although I'm not looking at them from the male perspective!), she just has that goldfish-looking-outside-of-the-tank look to me. I know it's not terribly popular here, but I do like Shep - it's those EYES!

I'd bet each has a totally different contract .. Sean and Greta have shows every night in prime time, or near to it. If Rita does only weekends, her salary would be significantly less... I'm gonna assume their contracts are tied to audience share in which case Sean's would probably double if he'd drop Alan.

I think that she'll regret not taking their offer. From what I've heard about that organization, who wouldn't be happy working at Fox? Working anywhere else in TV news would have to be a major disappointment.
