NEW YORK -- Fox News Channel will not renew a contract with weekend host Rita Cosby, as the two sides couldn't come to an agreement on an extension, the network said.
Cosby hosted "The Big Story Weekend Edition With Rita Cosby" at 9 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday at 6 p.m. she hosted "Fox News Live With Rita Cosby."
Cosby will leave the network immediately. No replacement host has been appointed, nor has a decision been made on the future of the shows, Fox News said.
The 'Big Story' host's departure is immediate

She gets a little too breathless for my taste. And that 2000 deal was the worst.

Ahhh. I like Rita Cosby even if she seems a little gullible at times. I like her a lot better than Shepherd Smith or Brian Kilmead. I hope she lands another job soon.
To: Hildy
I think she should have taken their offer. Whatever it was.

Too breathless for me too. Haven't listened to a word she said since 2000. She was literally hyperventilating. Way past time for her to be gone.

Does this mean the Special Sources will leave, too?
To: nuconvert
Her "sources" told her she could get more money elsewhere.
To: Sirius24
How much they earn, or how much they receive?
Sorry, easy joke.

Any idea how much hosts like Cosby, Greta, and Hannity earn each year? Whatever it is that Greta makes, its too much.
To: au eagle
But.... but....
What about her SOURCES! Whatever will we do?

I'm with you too. There's something very appealing about her.
Wish her luck. Maybe replace Dan Rather?
To: Hildy
:) Never forgave her for the 2000 election debacleAround our house we call her "Supreme Court Rita".
To: Hildy
My least-favorite.
Now if they ever let Laurie Due (Dew?) get away I become an instant Democrat.

I like her, too. She is a heck of a reporter and filed many, many scoops over the years. Made some mistakes, for sure, but overall, it's a loss for Fox.
