Dear Volunteers, Our Patriotic Drive, May 27-30 is fast approaching! We hope you will be able to join us during the 4 day weekend to help assemble 25,000 care packages to send to our courageous service members deployed overseas.
In order to maintain a steady pace throughout the weekend, we like to assign specific shifts to all volunteers. We have all sorts of jobs available during every shift, from seated to standing to running to lifting! Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Penny Alfonso, ASAP to set up your day and time: pennyalfonso@yahoo.com. Please write "Operation Gratitude" in the subject line.
We will continue to meet every Friday (from 10am-3pm) before the Memorial Weekend to prep and every Friday after through the end of June to continue assembling packages. In addition, we are scheduling another full weekend, June 11-12 from 10am-5pm. We hope you will join us for both weekends if you are available!
NEW REQUEST!!
We are in need of several Digital Video cameras for a project we are doing with deployed troops. If anyone has new or used digital video cameras to donate, please contact me!! Of course, all donations are tax deductible.
We also need volunteers to do some pickups of donations for us. If you have a mini-van or pick-up truck and are available to pickup this Thursday May 12, in the Hollywood area, please email me ASAP! cblashek@aol.com
