Voinovich said that he didn't think Bolton was the "best man we can send" to the UN.
Since when did Senate confirmation involve finding the BEST MAN for a task, in each Senator's opinion?
Is it even possible that 50 senators would agree who the BEST MAN was for a job?
We in FR can't even reach a MAJORITY opinion of who would be the next presidential candidate.
The confirmation is only supposed to determine if the nominee is incapable of doing the job. How many of Clinton's nominees did Voinovich vote for? Did he actually think they were BETTER for the jobs then republicans would have been?
Sexist comment, actually.
I don't think that out of 11 million Ohioans that Voinovich is the best we could send to Washington, either. In fact, the 100 Senators collectively aren't even mediocre.
George Allen (R-VA)
John Bolton is the "best man" for US, and that seems to be what's worrying the crap out of him.
