ON CAPITOL HILL Bolton Vote in Committee The Senate Foreign Relations Committee conducts a debate and vote on the nomination of John Bolton as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Chair Richard Lugar (R-IN) and Ranking Member Joseph Biden (D-DE) continue a review of the nominee, based on issues raised at the committee's April 19 business meeting. 10AM-3:30PM ET ON C-SPAN3
Tony Snow says he's gotten through to V's office and they confirmed V will vote for the nuke option. So at least there is that.
I missed Tony's procedural parliamentary hypothetical question to Hatch, dang it!
But I will say that Hatch is doing very well on Tony's show, calling the RATS and their tactics for exactly what they are. Surprising from Hatch really.
You got me
Who?
LOL! Biden just said "correct the dots, folks". What a maroon.
So , any ideas [guess] on when they'll break for lunch ???

Fidel?
I think Hatch has finally had it up-to-here. If that's correct, then GOOD.
Oil for Food. I'm convinced.
Was he referring to the freckles on his bald head?

Voinovich said that he didn't think Bolton was the "best man we can send" to the UN.
Since when did Senate confirmation involve finding the BEST MAN for a task, in each Senator's opinion?
Is it even possible that 50 senators would agree who the BEST MAN was for a job?
We in FR can't even reach a MAJORITY opinion of who would be the next presidential candidate.
The confirmation is only supposed to determine if the nominee is incapable of doing the job. How many of Clinton's nominees did Voinovich vote for? Did he actually think they were BETTER for the jobs then republicans would have been?
So am I .. and more
I think it was the plugs on his head.
Fidel Castro.
No you have not and yet this poster whines that he is being attacked. This is another dead giveaway that he is a liberal. They perceive any questioning of their motives as a direct attack on themselves. They are perennially and forever offended and in fact live their sorry lives looking under rocks and behind doors for all things for which they may claim to be 'offended'. PJ O'Rourke described them well in this quote:
"At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child - miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosphy of sniveling brats." -- P.J. O'Rourke
>>Biden sounds "troubled".<<
Biden sounds nuts ..and he is nuts if thinks the administration should provide all the details of raw intelligence reports and cross- departmental intelligence gathering... does he think we want all that leaked? There is a good reason to not disseminate raw intelligence.
yup , OIL FOR FOOD
See my tagline. I detest that pompous know-it-all windbag.
