I actually never heard him say he would vote a yes in Committee. There was something about not being so arrogant...and I lost the reasoning. I guess he said he wanted it to be fully debated in the Senate.
Good. I'm all for an honest debate. He'll be fine once he gets out of the grasp of militants like Biden, Boxer, Kerry, Sarbanes, Dodd.
Voinovich IS Dirty. I've thought that for a long time.

I see more passionate debate in the House of Lords than in the American Senate. With a few exceptions, they all think they're in some bloody country club and they all have to place nice with each other.

I still want to know if Voinovich is being backed by pro-Cuban money. That Novak article this morning was a real eye-opener.
Your Republican Congress (and their FBI records) has been bought and sold. Voinovich just saved his own as at the expense of the country. What he did today should never be forgotten. Not only did he go too far, he basically kissed the asses of the Democrats. Anyone reading this post who knows what the Democrats have on Voinovich, needs to come forward with the information RIGHT NOW.
I was also told that we will see some surprising defections when it comes to the Nuclear option. If this person is correct, then we can give up right now.

Anyway, we used to have Howard Metzenbaum representing us in Ohio in the Senate, who was slightly Left of Tony Benn.

At least Voinovich repeated the call that the President's nominees deserve an up or down vote in the Senate.
